Free WP Theme To Park Your Domain
I see several more templates have been added to the WP Theme Directory. One of the coolest I saw was the one called "LaunchPad".
You can see it here: http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/launchpad
We all do it, either we buy too many domains at one time and can't get to them all quickly or we have works in progress that we're not quite ready for the public to view.
In those scenarios, go ahead and point the domain to your account, install WordPress and upload this theme. Add the feed to Feedburner and edit the information in the theme.
Depending on your domain name or your niche, you could possibly build up a few RSS or email subscribers before you ever launch your site.
It would be especially beneficial if you have purchased a previously owned domain that already has traffic.
With a few tweaks to the theme, you might even be able to display some auctions on the page. I'll have to play around with it over the weekend and if I get it figured out, you all will be the first to know.

Another trick would be modifying the the Launchpad theme to interface with a mailing list server and replacing the Feedburner form with an email list signup – Mailchimp has an API widget with code that can be adapted!

Hi Mike,
That’s a great idea! Thanks for mentioning it.
I’ve tried multiple ways to get the theme to display auctions. However, the way they have it coded, it’s hard to do and explain it in an easy way for everyone to understand.
I’ll go back to the drawing board on this soon.

Well, it’s a nice idea, but I think it would be better if we park at domain parking service, we can get revenue from every click.
Just a thought

Good idea, however I didn’t actually spell out my meaning.
If you used a theme like this and added your own programs to it such as Adsense or any other contextual ad network, eBay auctions, affiliate banners, etc. you would end up making more in the long run than you ever could through a parking service.
I know several people who have used parking services in the past and never made a dime. In fact, they went in the hole. I’m not sure who they used, but based on their experience, I have never ventured into domain parking.
If you know of a good parking service though, don’t be afraid to let everyone here know.
Thanks for stopping by!
