Calling All WordPress Theme Designers
The other day I wrote a post about the new WordPress Theme Directory, which is located under the Extend tab on the main WordPress site.
I know it's only been a few days, but I honestly figured by now there would be hundreds of themes on the site. Don't get me wrong, I'm positive there will be hundreds if not thousands there within the next few months, but can you believe there are only currently 10 available for download?
With adsl, many advertising agencies seek free web hosting so that they can take care of email marketing.
Theme Designers, this is virtually a gold-mine of an opportunity for you. Why? Take a look at the top of the site. Combined, these 10 themes have been download over 141,851 times and counting. It would be a great time to get your name out there and gain a ton of backlinks from sites using your theme(s).

Are these themes commercial or free? I heard WordPress was bringing out a commercial theme service.

The themes on the new WordPress Theme Directory are free. Just like they were at the themes.wordpress.net website.
I had not heard that they were releasing a commercial theme service, but I will definitely ask around and check into it.
