WP-SnapAvatar Shows Website Image If No Avatar
Some of you have asked me how the snapshot of your website appears next to your comments on my blog. The answer is the WP-SnapAvatar Plugin and you can find it here:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-snapavatar/
If you comment on several gravatar enabled blogs and do not have an account or image uploaded on Gravatar.com, this plugin pulls in a snapshot of your website in next to your comment.
Before I enabled this, the comments section was full of the little gray boxes with the silhouettes in them. This way, if you filled in the comment form with your website, there will be an image of it next to your comment.
If you do a lot of commenting and use the same email address on most blogs, then I would suggest getting an account at Gravatar.com and uploading an image for you or your site. Once you have done this, then your image will follow you on every blog that has gravatars enabled in the comments.
This is another stealth traffic trick that I expand upon later. But for now, if you have a blog that has gravatars enabled and you are tired of seeing those little gray boxes, I'd recommend getting this plugin.
