Removing The PayPal Icon From Your PhpBay Listings
Some phpBay users like to get rid of the PayPal icon (the "P" under the auction title) in the listings on their sites and this is how you remove it.
Log in the the cpanel of your hosting account, click on File Manager and navigate to the folder that holds your phpBay installation. Usually this is /wp-content/plugins/phpBay/
Now open the phpBay folder. You will see a "templates" folder - open it. In this folder, you are going to look for two files. They are:
- template.ebay.results.html (this one is for the "row" format)
- template.column.results.html (this one is for the "column" format)
Now open the file to edit according to the display format you are using - either row or column - and look for this string "%%paypal%%" in the file. Once you have located it, simply delete it. Now save the file and you are done. The logo has been removed.
Alternatively, you can use FTP to download the file, edit it on your local drive and FTP it back up to your site. Whichever method is easiest for you.
You will not hurt anything if you delete it out of both files. It will just ensure that it will not display no matter which template you are using.
This should be an easy fix for you, but if you have questions or need help with this, please post a comment or contact me.
