phpBay Pro V3.0.6 Released
Wade released v3.0.6 of phpBay Pro for Wordpress today.
This is a minor update that now includes a feature that many users have been asking for - a sidebar widget to display listings in the sidebar of your theme!
If you already own phpBay and do not need the sidebar widget, there is no pressing need to upgrade to the latest version, however it is there and available to you for download if you want to use it.
For those who have not gotten phpBay yet, this is a great addition to an already awesome piece of software. The ability to display listings in your sidebar can be quite powerful depending on your site layout.
For anyone wanting to use this feature of the plugin, you will need a theme that is widgetized.
Most people are using it as a "Featured Product" or "Popular Item" type of display.
To use it, you will need to create a new widget in your WordPress admin panel and give it a name. Then you need to edit the widget and insert the basic phpbay tag found in the user's manual. It will include your keyword(s), number of auctions to display, etc.
Enjoy!

Melissa,
How does PHP differ from ebay’s own widget? I am thinking about buying phpbay, but I need to learn more about it.
