Use PhpBay To Make An eCommerce Type Site

In my phpBay Pro Site Build Series, I said that I would include a second tutorial to make your site look like an e-commerce site. I could go ahead and create this series however there is already a great tutorial online for accomplishing this over at Eureka Diary located here:
http://eurekadiary.com/139/phpbay-start-to-finish-tutorial

I have some extra tips to add to it at a later date. I know several of you will already know about the above tutorial, however I wanted to post it for those who have not seen it.

It's a great tutorial and you can pick up quite a few hints and tips over there. Enjoy!

  1. Hi Melissa,
Do you know what happened to EddieBauer.org? Perhaps trademark issue?

Bos last blog post..People Are Getting Banned from EPN, but Why?

  2. Hi Bo,

I’m pretty sure he said he received a notice from Eddie Bauer’s lawyers over the trademark name issue. Sorry, I should have mentioned that.

However, this does not discredit the information in the tutorial as it does take a person from start to finish in creating a “commerce” looking site.

I will contact a few others who have created sites based upon his tutorial and ask if I may share their links here. If not, then I will share a few of mine so everyone can see them live.

    Thanks for the comment.

    Melissa

  3. Yeah, the site looks amazing and it is nice tutorial. I wanted to take a look at it throughly, but oh well. :)

  4. Have you tried using BANS instead of phpbay for ebay stores? It costs more but I’ve heard very good things…

Johns last blog post..Downtown Toronto Real Estate

  5. Hi John,

Yes, I have used and still continue to use BANS. I’ve been with it since the beginning (October of 2006) and have even been a moderator on the forum.

Ask anyone who knows and they’ll tell you I’m one of their biggest fans. The only reason I’ve so far dedicated my site to phpBay is there are already a ton of blogs dedicated to BANS.

There is just not much I can teach that you will not already find on one of the other sites.

And yes, it is a VERY good program. :)
