Free Video Software – Jing

Jing Project

Jing Project

If you have been looking for free video software to do tutorials and other stuff, I have found a great solution. It is called Jing.

This software is 100% free and will run on a Mac, Windows XP as well as Vista. For those of you who may ask, I am running on Vista and I had no problems installing the software.

It will allow you to capture images and record video of anything on your desktop. You can then share through email, Instant Messenger, Blogs or virtually anywhere online.

I had been looking for a solution like this myself as I am just not ready to invest $300 in Camtasia. I do not need that much power - yet. This is sort of a "lite" version of Camtasia. It does not have a ton of features, but it does what I need it to do.

Another way to use this would be to create a video for each of your sites showing your visitors the best way to navigate your site. The most subtle way I can say this, show them what you want them to click on. (*hint, hint)

Hope you enjoy it!
