EPN Report Reader
Now that you have maybe earned some commissions, you may be curious as to what the buyers purchased.
If you download your report and view it either in csv format or open it in Excel, it can still be confusing to those who may not know what they are looking at.
The good news is that there is an easy way to read your reports. Tropical Web Works developed an EPN Report Reader several months ago that runs on your own server and gives you highly detailed information about the commissions earned from your site.
You can read more about it and get the reader here: http://www.tropicalwebworks.com/epn.html
The instructions for this script are quite easy. Simply download the file and unzip to your local machine. Then open up your favorite FTP program, connect to your site and upload the file. You will then be able to access the reader in your web browser by going to http://www.nameofyoursite.com/epn.php
Of course, replace "nameofyoursite.com" with the name of your own site. This should be self-explanatory, however you'd be surprised.
To use the reader, login to your EPN account and download your Transaction Report as a text file. This option is available to you on the download page. Save it somewhere where it is easy to access.
Then go back to the page on your site that includes the reader and click "Upload". Follow the file path on your machine where you saved your .txt report and click on it. It will then upload your report and display:
- The auctions that were won through your site
- Include pictures and links to the items won
- Show the high bidder, if available
- And much more
There are many ways you can read your EPN report, however this is one of the easiest. And since it runs on your own server, no one can collect your data.
Enjoy!
