@ Lindsay - It's definitely worth it. Not only are those 20-25 visitors highly targeted traffic, but you've also got the backlink to your site. It's a win-win situation!

@Charles - Best of luck to you with your LED site! I think you'll find the method I've outlined above to be pretty powerful once you have it all implemented. Take care and let me know if you give it a try!

Thanks, Melissa! I kind of started building a network around my LED niche almost by accident and then after doing some reading it looks like this a is pretty common and powerful strategy. I know Squidoo, but am not familiar with HubPages or using USFreeAds to point back to them, so I am going to have to check that out. Helpful site!

I made a Squidoo page just for kicks and listed my blog along with several other folks' blogs (all in a related niche), and even without any sort of promotion for the Squidoo page, I get 20-25 click-throughs a month from it. Not big traffic or anything, but considering it only took 15 minutes to build the page, I think it was worth it. :)

Hi Ben,

Great minds think alike, huh? :-)

I'm glad to see that someone else agrees with me that this is still a good strategy. A lot of people are of the belief that using Squidoo is a dead art form and they couldn't be more wrong.

What is traffic bug? I have not heard of this. I still use USFreeAds as one of the ways to get links to my Squidoo pages and HubPages. I also use it for building links to my main sites using the long-tail strategy. I do get a good bit of traffic from there to all of those pages and my main sites so it does still work for me. Like I said, you just have to know how to use it properly.

How are the final stages of your new plugin coming along? I just read about it the other day and it sounds VERY promising. Wishing you the best of luck with it!

Hi Melissa,

This is very very strange, I've just written a similar post myself with regards to Amazon and Squidoo.

This is a good strategy to use and it still works well, testing a niche with squidoo is also quite good and if that niche turns out to be a winner you have another site to link from.

I haven't used USFREEADS myself at all, I usually plug the sites into traffic bug and start building traffic to them that way.
